To begin this issue, we’d like to congratulate the Kenosha Art Association on the opening of their new headquarters.
Since 1950, the KAA is an organization dedicated to visual artists of all kinds, focusing on art education and arts enrichment in the community. Along with offering art classes to adults and older teens in the Kenosha area, the KAA hosts events and art shows throughout the year, acting as an outlet for artists. In addition, every year the organization donates scholarships to benefit local arts students. Another annual event to announce for 2007 is the 1st Annual Advent Art Show taking place on Saturday, November 24 at the Rhode Opera House (516 56th Avenue, Kenosha). The opening reception will be from 6-10p.m., and the winner announcement will be made at 8:30.
