Hello everyone!

Trust you are having a wonderful holiday season. Thank you again to all those who gave their time and energy towards making AHA! a successful organization. Many things were accomplished, milestones were reached and it could not have happened without everyone’s vision and dedication.

We are starting a brand new year full of unlimited possibilities and AHA! Kenosha will continue to uphold it’s mission by increasing the positive buzz surrounding the artistic community and bringing more awareness to all Kenosha has to offer.

We have 40 members and growing! This shows that Kenosha is moving in the right direction. This movement however will not happen over night so remember to spread the word about joining AHA! Kenosha and be a continuous advocate for the artistic community.

Brand new brochures will be available soon so let me know how many your organization needs for a display!

Some things to look forward to in the New Year:

  1. There is a Mayoral Forum on Weds. January 9th, 7:00pm at Gateway Technical College. I believe this is hosted by Dennis Shook from Shakin’ Up Kenosha. This is an excellent opportunity to ask the candidates what they plan on doing to move Kenosha forward not only in the global economy but culturally as well.
  2. On the AHA! website under Services then Advocacy I have added materials to help educate the community as well as the candidates on how the arts and humanities enrich the quality of life in addition to diversifying the workforce and helping to boost the economy.

  3. AHA! Kenosha will be hosting it’s own mayoral forum sometime before the primaries on February 19th. I will email everyone when the date is finalized.
  4. The first annual Board Meeting will be scheduled sometime in February. More details to come!
  5. We are looking for volunteers to be apart of the AHA! Street Team. You will be in charge of a certain area of distribution places for AHA! materials. It will include delivering and maintaining the level of materials at each place. Please contact me if you are interested in being part of the Street Team!

Don’t forget to take advantage of the Community Calendar for posting upcoming events as well as the many other resources, opportunities and services available on the website!

As always please let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great New Year!
