Kenosha Community Media, Inc. (KCM), a local nonprofit organization, and WGTD Radio will co-host a Mayoral Candidate Forum at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Gateway Technical College, Room 120, in the Center for Bioscience and Information Technology (BioCATT) building, 3520 30th Avenue, Kenosha. This event is open to the public; however, space is limited.
KCM has invited all 2008 Mayoral candidates to take part in this forum. Candidates include (in alphabetical order):
Scott Barter
Michael Bell
Keith Bosman
Everett Butler
Patrick Moran
MariaPerri.
The forum will be led by a three-member panel: David McGrath, WGTD Radio News Director; Dennis Shook, journalist and host of Kenosha TV 14 programs, Shakin’ Up Kenosha and Politalks; and a representative (to be announced) of the Kenosha News. Dennis Shook will also serve as moderator.
During this event, candidates will have an opportunity to provide background information about themselves and offer brief introductory statements. The panel will then ask questions to the candidates, followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions. Each candidate will also have an opportunity to make a closing statement. The forum is expected to last about two hours.
WGTD Radio will stream audio from the forum live on January 9th onto its Web site, www.wgtd.org. Staff and volunteers of Kenosha Community Media will videotape the forum for later airplay on Kenosha TV 14 – cable television channel 14 (Time Warner Cable-Kenosha). Air dates and times will be announced at the forum and publicized following this event.
KCM does not endorse or support political candidates in any election. KCM is co-presenting this forum, in association with WGTD Radio, to provide an equal opportunity for all Mayoral candidates to express their ideas, positions and opinions with a Kenosha audience in person, on www.wgtd.org, and on Kenosha TV 14.
