The Pollard Gallery, long a tribute to the talents of our neighbors, George and Nan Pollard, is evolving into an Artists Cooperative in an effort to offer gallery space for local artists.
All artists, emerging and established, are invited to show and share their art in any media. Initially the Gallery is offering two ways to participate. The artist may choose to pay a modest hanging fee to display their work, and enjoy the benefit of no commission on their sales. Another option is to gallery sit and earn a low commission on sales. Generous agreements are also available for print and jewelry sales.
Brigitta Richter, a participating local artist, enjoys the ability to indulge in creative pricing. Without the burden of high commissions, Gitta wants to make her work affordable for more people.
A solo show of the artists work is an opportunity many are finding particularly appealing. Some artists like the idea of a joint show. Kate Fallucca and Kim Rahal, for instance, are presenting “A Double Artist Exhibit” on March 7.
Please stop by, visit and enjoy the work of over ten local artists in the new Pollard Gallery.
To learn more about the co-op, please call Brigitta at 925-7096, or Judy at 654-9030.
