Professional Acting Classes for Teens

Actor’s Craft holds classes in Milwaukee & Kenosha!

Teens can learn a professional approach to acting which enables them to create dynamic characters that bring scripts to life! Actor’s Craft brings Los Angeles caliber training to Wisconsin Teens at their studio in The Rhode Center for the Arts in Kenosha and at Bucketworks in Milwaukee. Professional Acting Technique and Teen Improv are two different approaches to developing a teenager’s acting skills for stage or on-camera.

Professional Acting Technique teaches teens to bring themselves more fully to their work for the natural, connected performance necessary for the revealing eye of the camera. Maureen Cashin Bolog is the only Acting Coach in the Great Lakes Area certified to teach the award-winning Chubbuck Technique used by Golden Globe, Emmy and Academy Award winners and nominees. This class also incorporates strategies used by Uta Hagen, Howard Fine and Larry Parke.

The spontaneity of Teen Improv will improve teenage actors’ listening and reacting skills. It requires intellectual, physical, and intuitive involvement which brings to light an actor’s unique characteristics. By identifying and honing these unique qualities, they learn to bring themselves to their acting work and create rich characters with vibrant relationships in their scenes. Directors value actors who are comfortable with improvisation since they can add dimension to the scripted material.

Teen Improv will only be held at Actor’s Craft in the Rhode Center for the Arts, 518 56th Street in Kenosha, WI. Classes are on Tuesdays from 1:30 - 3 p.m., June 24 - July 29th. Tuition is $110 for this six week class.

Professional Acting Technique will be held at Actor’s Craft in Kenosha for a one-week intensive, Monday through Friday, June 16 - 20, 9 a.m. until Noon, for $200. Milwaukee Area Teens can take the class at Bucketworks, 1340 North 6th Street, on Tuesdays, 4:30 - 6:45 p.m., June 17 - July 29th, for $200.
