The Peter V. Bianchi Artists Studio is a museum space set aside to provide museum visitors with an immersive experience into a working Artists Studio and the creative process, as well as providing an opportunity for visitors and artists to interact.

A variety of art media are demonstrated in the Artists Studio, including oil painting, acrylic painting, woodcarving, stained glass, weaving, modeling clay, pen & ink, silversmithing, leatherworking, mosaics, and encaustic painting. Artists also work a variety of schedules; some schedule demonstrations once a month, others once every 3 to 4 months. They also work a variety of time spans, from 2 to 6 hours.

The Education Aide contacts artists about their availability. This is usually done several months in advance to allow the schedule to be published in the museum’s program schedule. Signs are also put up at the museum with the Artists Studio schedule.

Artists bring their own supplies and art pieces to work on; art may also be put on display on the shelves in the studio during the demonstration time.
