The Kenosha Public Museum’s 72nd Travelogue Season continues Friday, November 21, 2008 at 7:30 pm with Fran Reidelberger’s, “The Best of Bavaria” at Reuther Central High School Auditorium located at 58th Street and Sheridan Road Kenosha, WI.

Witness a fairytale being brought to life, as quaint German towns vividly appear right before the eyes. Allow yourself to be swept up by the magic as Fran Reidelberger unveils Germany’s success of reconstruction after World War II. Overflowing with culture, traditions, and mouth-watering sausage, Oktoberfest offers a unique view of the recovered German spirit. Be sure to walk down Bavaria’s Romantic Road, as the eye catches small German towns contrasting with tall, beautifulcastles of the nearby villages. Woodcarvers, beermakers, and hanggliders are just a few of the many foreign items featured in “The Best of Bavaria.” Adventure-hungry travelers will have more than enough excitement to keep them satisfied as the film takes them through the Bavarian Forest, Oberammergau, Dachau, and much more.

A travelogue is a professional 90 minute presentation shown on a big screen with one intermission. It documents interesting places around the world, describing art, music, architecture, culture, and history from a first person perspective. Travelogues are produced in the enhanced digital format and narrated live by the film maker. Travelogues open the world for people of all ages, enhancing student classroom experiences and enabling adults to relive (or plan for) vacations and business trips around the world. Travel patrons and youth travelers can pick up the “PASSPORT” and collect a different sticker at each travelogue.

Doors open at 6:45 pm and seating is unreserved. Travelogues are free and sponsored in part by a grant from the Kenosha News. Complete schedules are available at the Kenosha Public Museum, Kenosha Public Libraries, and Kenosha Municipal Building. For more information call the Museum at 262-653-4140.
