From the Kenosha Writers’ Group
Think back to childhood, to being all snug and cozy in your bed, listening intently as someone read you a bedtime story. Or perhaps it was storytime at school or a library, sitting cross-legged on a floor. Wherever it may have been, I’m going to bet that you were transported. Imagination in high gear, the room you were in fell away, replaced by a castle, or a forest, or a…..you fill in the blanks. Hopefully, books have never lost that magical quality for you, as hop-scotch and games of tag turned into work responsibilities and family obligations. In a day and age where sitting down with a book for hours on end is somewhat of a luxury, the Kenosha Writers’ Group extends an invitation to you.
Our project “365 Mondays” in in full swing. We’ve had a week’s worth of great writing, covering all sorts of subjects—love, suspense, lust, romance, hardship, struggles, family, loss, joy…you name it, it’s probably been covered! So take a break from being an adult for just a moment each day. Go to www.kenoshawritersgroup.com and read that day’s post. Allow the world to slip away again, and immerse yourself in the enchantment of a good story or poem. Induldge in a little whimsy and imagination.
Go ahead—We double-dog dare you!
