  • Kenosha Public Museum presents Transparent Watercolor Society of America 33nd Annual Juried Exhibition

    Description: The 33rd annual exhibition features the works of 100 artists from throughout the United States and Canada, filling the Museum’s East and South galleries. Judy Morris of Medford, Ore. selected the 100 paintings on display from over 800 entries. On Saturday, June 6, Morris will view the show and select the award recipients. Morris has been a popular juror and workshop teacher in the United States and abroad. Her paintings have received more than 50 national and regional awards and have been featured in exhibitions throughout the country. In addition, the Kenosha Public Museum will host the TWSA’s 34th annual exhibition May 1 - July 25, 2010, as well as the 35th exhibition in the spring of 2011. The Society recognizes an important distinction between transparent watercolor and the numerous other water-based mediums that have evolved through modern technology. Closed Holidays. General admission is free. Program & group fees may apply.

    Description: Model trains will fill the Kenosha Public Museum during the annual Train Extravaganza Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31. All models and scales of trains will be represented during the free, public event sponsored by the G-Scalers Club. The scale models include scenic layouts, featuring trains operating with a backdrop of model buildings and a variety of landscapes.
