The Kenosha Art Association will present its Membership Show from October 3, 2009 through February 21, 2010 at the Kenosha Public Museum’s West Gallery. An artists reception will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, October 4 on the Museum’s mezzanine.

The show is open to all current Kenosha Art Association members, and features two- and three-dimensional works in all media including paintings in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. There are also drawings in graphite, ink, charcoal, and colored pencil; collage and mixed-media work; photographs and digital art; mosaic and stained glass. Included in the exhibit is jewelry, sculpture, and utilitarian forms in clay, metals, and mixed media assemblage. Most of the works on display will be available for purchase through the Museum’s gift shop.

Awards include First, Second, and Third Place, Best of Show, and Honorable Mention, and will be announced at the reception on October 4. The reception is free and open to the public, and offers light refreshments and a chance to meet and mingle with the artists.

The Kenosha Art Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to art enrichment in the community, art education, and to visual artists.
