Two Twilights Left . . .

twilightjazz.jpg

The weather pattern has cooled – and just in time for a lovely end of summer celebrated with two final Twilight Jazz events. Tonight, August 17th, Larry Zarletti performs. A retired Kenosha County Sheriff, Zarletti is a popular singer who’s performed as a soloist for the Kenosha Symphony, the Brian Ford Jazz Trio, and UW-Parkside’s Reunion Big Band. And the final concert, Tuesday, August 31st, features Dave Sturino and Friends. Both concerts are held at Anderson Arts Center on the south side lawn. The grounds open at six and the concerts run from 7-9 p.m. Food and drink vendors are on site.

Twilight Jazz evenings have become a Kenosha tradition and the lawn is always filled with folding chairs, picnic baskets, families, couples, and dogs. Past concerts include Swing Nouveau, Brian Harris Group, and the Michael La Macchia Trio. What better way to enjoy the end of summer than sitting by the lake with a nice breeze, listening to music? And don’t forget to mark your calendars for December 4, 2010, and a special performance of The John Crawford Jazz Band at Snowflake Jazz.
