Poetry Roundtable at JavaVino . . .

Daniel Bosch is Director of the Writing Studio at Walnut Hill, an intensive arts training program for young
writers in Natick, MA. His poems, reviews and translations have appeared in Agni, Slate, Boston Review,
Paritsan Review, and other journals. His book Crucible appeared in 2002 from Handsel Books.


Sponsored by the Racine Public Library, The Poetry Roundtables are a monthly event held at Java Vino wine and coffee shop ( 424 Main St. downtown Racine) and sponsored by the RPL. This is a program free to the public in which, each month, the works of a different contemporary poet will be read and discussed in a setting conducive to individuals with varied levels of poetry experience . Photocopies of the poetry will be provided at the event, but it is recommended participants review some of the work in advance.

Little Playhouses . . .

When someone mentions the word playhouse to me, I think of cute little dollhouses. Those Disney castle versions, maybe 2 feet by 3 feet with the back open so dolls and furniture can be moved in and out by my granddaughter or one of her friends over for a visit. Imaging one slightly larger, oh, say in the range of eight feet by ten feet by ten feet, has never crossed my mind. I mean who would build something like that?
