December 1st, 2008 — Kenosha Second Saturdays, EK62, Union Park, Second Saturdays, Downtown Kenosha, ExposeKenosha
November 8th was Second Saturday in downtown Kenosha. Having missed the October event, I was eager to participate as patron of the arts, and shops, in this one. I followed the link from www.exposekenosha.com, to www.KenoshaSecondSaturdays.com and was quite excited to find how the event has grown over the course of a few short months. But, when I went to print off the participating locations, it was 9 pages long. Not something I could tuck into my handbag. Ok, that’s a lie, because that thing which hangs from my shoulder is large enough to be considered a ‘checked’ piece of luggage on some flights. An inspired idea if there ever was one. Same day every month. You know this. You mark your calendar. You count down the days. It becomes the carrot before your workhorse cart all week long. You structure your second Saturday so that you have plenty of time to fit in all your chores, rush home to spruce up, and then head downtown for an evening of culture, art, music and friendship.
But the best laid plans…as they say. Continue reading →
