“Made It Models” - Michelle Cascio Photography and Model Casting

made-it-models.jpg

Michelle Cascio Photography and Model Casting has great talent coming out of its workshops. I met them at Cascio’s June workshop and was impressed with the age range (from 10 to 30 years old) and the experience levels (from beginners to those who’ve worked for a couple of years in movies and still ads). I was invited to attend her July workshop so I could write the article entitled “Looking Your Best” in issue #29 on April 13, 2008 and was wowed even more.

Michelle came prepared with handouts “What to Do for Your Booking” and “Things You Will Need in Your Model Bag”. Learning how to work this industry, hearing their stories, and taking their pictures was a blast. These models were so enthusiastic, upbeat and excited that it left everyone encouraged to move forward.

The Arts & Humanities Alliance of Kenosha – Capitol Art Program (CAP)

capitol.jpg

The opportunity to exhibit original artwork in legislators’ offices at the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison is open to all current artist members of Arts & Humanities Alliance of Kenosha (AHA! Kenosha.) All wall-hung media 20 pounds or less will be considered. Please weigh your artwork, and do not submit work that is heavier, as the hanging system at the State Capitol is only rated for this weight. Artists may submit one/two art piece(s) per exhibit up to 4’ in any direction. NOTE: There are approximately 20 wall spaces for smaller, (18” to 36”) pieces, and 5 places for larger ones. A total of about 25 pieces will be selected for each exhibit. Although works will be available for sale, we consider this exhibition opportunity to be more for resume-building, than a sales outlet. Artwork will be on exhibition for 3 to 4 months, depending on the interest among artists in exhibiting, and our ability to coordinate installation schedules with our legislators in Madison.
